Baccarat, a game often associated with luxury, sophistication, and strategic intrigue, finds a faithful digital adaptation in RealTime Gaming’s (RTG) offering. Let’s embark on a journey through RTG’s elegant version of Baccarat.
Rules of the game
At the beginning of the gameplay, you need to set the total bet for the game. Setting the rate takes place in two stages. The first is choosing a bet. The user should choose from the following options:
- Player bet. The player receives a win if his cards are higher in value than the dealer’s cards. The winnings are a 1:1 ratio to the current bet on this position.
- Banker bet. The user also receives a 1:1 win from the current bet on the position, but only if the dealer’s cards turn out to be higher than their face value. In addition, when betting on the Banker position, in case of winning, the player will be charged a one-time commission in the amount of 5% of the reward received. For example, when playing for 10 credits, the user receives a win of 9.5 credits. The commission cannot be less than 0.25 points.
- Bet Tie. The winnings are a 9:1 ratio of the bet on the position and are paid if the player and the dealer have the same value of cards.
The second stage is setting the number of credits for the already selected position. The process is carried out by clicking on one of the chips with a fixed denomination: 1, 5, 25, 100 and 500 credits. When you click again, the number of credits equal to the face value of the chip will be added to the one already set on the position. It is possible to combine betting positions and the number of credits placed on them according to the user’s wishes or in connection with his playing strategy. The only limitation is the maximum limit on the total bet per game, equal to 500 credits.
Starting the game
The game process is started using the Deal button. In this case, a number of points equal to the total bet for the game is withdrawn from the player’s account. Next, two cards are dealt in the Player and Banker cells.
If the sum of the player’s cards is less than or equal to 5 points, a third card is added to the Player cell. The dealer is given a third card if the total value of his cards is 4 points or less.
If the dealer gets two cards with a total value of 5 points, the decision to add a third card is made based on the user’s cards. The position with the most points per game wins. If the cards of two cells have the same value, the Player and Banker bets are returned, and the Tie bet wins.
After the game is completed, the user can set the bet again by clicking on one of the selected game chips, or repeat the previous setting using the Rebet button function.
In the lower left corner of the user interface there is a line of the current account status in credits. In the upper left corner there is an information window for the Current Game game balance, consisting of three indicators:
- Total bet – total bet for the game;
- Result – user’s winnings;
- Commission – commission from winnings when betting on the Banker position.
Just below there is a window with the history of the last games, where: P is the player, B is the dealer, and the position that won is highlighted in green. In case of a tie, both positions remain white.
Baccarat Card Symbols
The symbols of this game are a classic deck of 52 playing cards. The value of cards from ten to king is 0 points. The number of card points from two to nine inclusive corresponds to their face value. An ace is worth one point. The maximum number of points per game is 9. If the value of the cards exceeds this value, 10 is subtracted from the amount received. For example, if two nines are rolled, 9+9=18=8. This action is also performed when a third, additional card is drawn.
In general, this card game is a classic table version of baccarat, but in a virtual format that is in no way inferior in capabilities and functionality. The graphics are implemented at a fairly high level. The musical design is practically invisible, therefore, it does not distract from the main gameplay. Getting a win depends not only on the user’s luck, but also on his skills and strategy of the game.
